Lookin to use 5" jerk shads/ 110mm flick baits and 7" jerk shads/145mm flickbaits, just wonderin wot size hooks are ideal for each. Do people use diff hook sizes say with the 5" if targeting flatties or pinkies. Im not refering to weight, I mean the gape size

I pick my plastics first then go to the jighead section and hold the jigheads up to the plastics and pick what suits best keeping in mind the depth you are fishing in and the fish you are targeting. I use plastics nearly every time I go fishing and I couldn't even give you a hook size that I use cos I dont even look at that haha!

Thats what iv done, I just queried what others use coz the berkley recommendation for the 5 inch is a 3/0 or a 5/0 and to me the 3/0 even looks big for the 5 inch. I dont wanna miss a hook up on a good fish by going too big or too small.
