Metro SBT

Just wondering if anyone has seen or caught any metro sbt lately? I haven't seen one at all this year but have seen and caught heaps of striped. All my usual areas have loads of bait but I cant find any tasty SBT. Im starting to worry that im cursed.

Same here Rob,  I am going over so much bait that my sounder thinks I have hit ground but no tuna. I mostly troll skirts and in prior years have done well.  The bloody weed has been epic this year though, just constantly resetting lines becomes tediuous.

Few and far between

Have been few and far between around Rockingham (from my experience) and the ones I have found have been the smallest I've ever seen. Not sure if theyre a cyclic stock but numbers are way down on previous years.

Haven't tried for quite a while but our usual spots between Hillarys and Rottnest were really bad this year. Summer into autumn is our best time as a rule, which makes sense with warmer water. Perhaps the warmer water this year that saw so many marlin and other pelagics around meant less SBT?

Been unbelievably quiet for southern blues for the best part of 10 months now. Saw 1 bust up out from garden Island in the 30s of tiny tiny blues around 30cm long about 6 months ago but other than that, nada...

Ok so im not cursed that's a relief. I assumed it was a water temp thing due to marlin out wide and the amount of stripeys in close but going through last year's photos had me wondering when they were gonna show this year. We were catching all year round and had a epic session back in March. Did notice yesterday the water temp was a little lower than I've been seeing so fingers crossed the kids get sashimi soon.
