There is only one daiwa rep
There is only one daiwa rep in wa and he services the entire state. Seems he has his plate pretty full. Pretty poor of daiwa I reckon, one rep for the biggest state in the country. I have a 16 ft sensor surf with a broken top section that I returned to the store of purchase, it's been there for about 4 months waiting for the rep to replace it and I still haven't heard a thing about it except for the fact he was going to replace it. Not good customer service from daiwa...

Sometimes products are just
Sometimes products are just out of stock due to popularity. You have to remember that they would recieve their stock via Sea mail not airfreight, and we all know how long sea frieght can take.

Sea freight !!!!!!!!!
Your sh#$$tting me !! your telling me a company like Daiwa Australia uses sea freight !!!!!
You better hope they have big container orders or thats just plain poor buisness sence, in todays day and age where air freight is relatively cheap per weight/size you would think they could factor in freight costs which would be minimal on top or even wear the cost if there out of stock for one or two items to keep customers happy ....
Doesnt have to be overnight express stop the traffic urgent postage but atleast they can offer something else , they might say look we've got a small order coming in next week we might be able to slip this reel etc in would you be prepared to wait a few days ??? .... You could then say yeah thats fine I'll wait or no thanks I'll try something else but atleast you were given the option...
Customer service goes a long way when purchasing parts whether they be fishing/car or what ever related , its the small things that some companys offer that stand out against the others and keeps there name good..

Not just Daiwa, it's all
Not just Daiwa, it's all suppliers. It's just that time of year, after tax time expect every store to be loaded to the hilt. If not then there are no excuses.

Heard a rumor from my loacl
Heard a rumor from my local Tackle store that the Port at Sendai? in Japan where the Tsunami hit was where alot of fishing gear was exported out from??? and that Shimano and Daiwa fishing gear production/export is trying to get back onto its feet fully after the effects of the Tsunami still. Could just be a someone at the local Tackle store feeding me bulls*#t though for not having what i wanted in. But it does seem accross Perth a shortage of both Shimano and Daiwa medium to high end gear. Cheap stuff is still available everywhere though :)
