I too am keen to know how the ecooda reels go mate, mainly there bream reels though, but they certainly look quite feature packed for the price! Someone out there has got to have tested them. Does anybody know any tackle shops that stock them would love to have a feel of them in the flesh.

Ecooda
I was thinking of grabbing one for PE4 work just to see how it holds up around Jurien. They feel very nice, although a bit heavy.
One of the FW members did some field testing and it sounded promising.
I did then the best that I knew how. When I knew better, I did better.

If you’re not hunting trophy fish that verge on unstoppable, look away now, because the Ecooda Hornet HS series are only for truly serious anglers.
These reels are built tough – they can pull up to 30kg of drag straight out of the box - but that doesn’t mean they lack refinement. In fact, these reels are packed with innovations way beyond those of average spinning reels.
Because the Hornet series are designed to handle truly big, hard fighting fish, they had to be made from the very best materials. That’s why the body and side plate are made from high strength aluminium. It’s why the computer balanced rotor is fitted with heavy duty aluminium bail wire that’s built to handle whatever you can throw at it.
The Hornet series are also built to last, featuring an ‘o’ ring sealed water proof body and rotor to protect against saltwater, quality stainless steel ball bearings and roller bearing and a convenient oil port to make lubrication a breeze.
So if you’re serious about tackling big fish, with a reel that will outlast you, check out the Ecooda Hornet reel series. There’s nothing else quite like them.

Just found this from a couple of months ago
Has any one got a review of this reel?
I was shown/recomended it today at Carry on Camping in Kelmscott and Im not sure what to look for with larger reels.
The biggest reel I currently have is a penn spinfisher ssm 6500 but starting to shop around for a reel to use offshore (one day when I get a boat) and land based with 500m+ 50lb braid for mullas and sharks.
Was told that it sould hold about 1000yds of 50lb braid
Cheers

Ecooda Hornet
We stock them in 15000 , 12000 ,10000 and 8000 (have not got the 20000 in stock at present) , Seaquest posted footage of us using one jigging Yellowtail kings a couple of Months ago , performed well alongside the Stella's ( we caught 40 between us in that session!!), Another Member Brad Y ( who fishes the ABT) just picked up 6 different Ecooda's last week but have had no feedback yet. The Cheaper Ecooda Cortez is one of the best value reels around for its price $69.95.
