in the river over 3 days i had say 300 casts for about 150 undersize fish, mainly bream. was just having fun hooking and handing over to kids. got some whiting in the sandy bits too, but there is some unwanted bycatch in the form of kayakers and kids on floaty things.
in the ocean we struggled a bit but over two mornings we got 3 x nice tailor, a borderline flattie (thrown back), a couple of herring (one being a monster), a few tiny whiting and some dart. only kept the tailor.
was enjoyable but only got the one feed of tailor and an entree of whiting.
