Dive Gear?

Well with all the talk about diving for crays it has got me thinking about upgrading my gear. Just wondering what your thoughts are on certain brands and there value for money. What sort of gear do you use? I currently have a scuba pro setup but it is fairly old. Have you seen any sales on lately for scuba gear or any good websites selling gear. I'm stuck at work in Tom Price so haven't been able to get to any shops down home to see if any sales are on.

Feral why stay away from
Feral why stay away from weight intergrated I thought it was alot easier to move around in them rather then a weightbelt

Personally I have
Personally I have never used them only the belt but a mate of mine has the intergrated and he loves it. Also is it just the balance that stuffs you up. My belt has a habit of rolling sideways sometimes when i'm jammed up under the ledge gettin crays and that make it a little tricky getting out

Do you have a nylon webbing
Do you have a nylon webbing belt or one of those rubber ones? My brother has a great one made out of a peice of insertion rubber and it grips your wetsuit a little.

i coulnt even tell you the
i coulnt even tell you the brand of any of my gear, but i know its not expensive.
end of the day, unless you're either an instructor trying to flog gear to your students, or someone that welds under water on the offshore rigs every day, then i cant see the point of buying a $3000 kit, when it does the exact same job as my second-hand $500 kit, which i use allmost every weekend.
you might look the shit, but i still get my limit of crays or near enough, most weekends, and have yet to have any of my gear fail. you've just gotta make sure you look after it well - wash it well and store it propperly when you're not using it. servicing every now and then also helps
also, feral is right, my gear gets smashed up heaps crawlin in and out of caves and holes, so i'm glad i didnt blow $3k on a kit thats gonna look like shit after a couple of dives.
i'll post a pic of a couple of jumbos i got on the weekend later this arvo.

I use BCD with intergrated
I use BCD with intergrated weights, good for me. I have two spots on the back for non dumpable weight and it balances you up nicely.
Depending on how deep you dive and what you want to do, but when you start diving deeper and upside down ect, you really notice the difference in regs.
