There is heaps of jigs on the market from the standard ones to flashing light ones to rubber ones etc.....
Each to there own when it comes to colour but i always go for the green or orange ones. I have four in differant sizes. You can pay $30 plus for some but i have had heaps of squid on the standard $4 ones. I once bought one of the pricey ones and it did worse then my cheapy!
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more serious than that!!!
My mrs bought this red and white jig from bcf about 4 months back for $3...think its a 4 gram weight on it . This at the moment is cleaning up for us off hillarys! you can see jig in pic .....http://fishwrecked.com/node/17855
IF YOU EVER NEED A LIMOUSINE...CALL LAKES LIMOUSINES BALLAJURA
Best squid jigs by far is still Yo-Zuri. They're reliable and are off top quality. They're now available with a huge range of colours, so its not just green, pink, orange or blue.
Ive not amassed about 100 different squid jigs over the years but still always go back to a YoZuri.

x 2 for Yo-Zuri
All of my jigs are now Yo-Zuri of various colours and sizes. They just produce! (half a dozen today on a baby blue one).
I wont use anything else - gave away all my other jigs. They dont compare IMO.
