Focus your efforts around the new and full moons - this affects tide height and water movement. The hour either side of the top of the tide fishes well - ie as the flow slows down. They often cough up what they've recently ate - fresh prawns always featured - easy pickings. Live baits - tailor or herring are the go.
Great way to do it is have a red hot go after reading mulloway in the river and recording your efforts. Ive caught a few over time in a particular pattern, the patterns change also. Build your own theory and back it up with catches. Put in the hours in, and once you hit silver replicate it. Have fun.

Live Baits seem to be the go, if your fishing for Taylor then have a heavier line out also.
Anything is possible in the river.
