As doooma says it depends what you're doing but if you are land based at quobba then you'll most likely be spinning lures so it would be braid no question. Casting distance will be a priority and braid will deliver over mono hands down. Obviously braid rubbing on rocks won't work so common sense will be required if that risk is there.
yeh mate i would deff go with the braid up there coz spinning is heaps of fun, some lower ledges not far north of the homestead r good i have landed some great pelagics, gt's & spangled emperor from them. cape cuvier is good if you dare the trek out to garths rock
sorry forgot bout leader yeh i use 60 to 80ld i rarely use wire for spinning as i hook more fish, yeh i drop a few more but hook ups r way more consistant, if u plan on balloning deff use some wire i have seen 38kg plus spaniards come in up ther just ask old allan he's the king of quabba, helps tim out around the joint

That depends on where you
That depends on where you will be fishing mate!
If you are going to use braid off the rocks, make sure you obviously have a good long leader!!!
I use braid mainly off a boat for the up and down stuff... or off the beach casting into wind, as its easier to feel bites...
I use mono for trawling, as its has that little bit of stretch and tends to not pull the hooks as easily as braid..... (or use good long leader)
Easiest option is to have a spool with braid, and a spool with mono... covers both bases..
