Wind Forecast - which one is right?
Submitted by paulsmez on Tue, 2012-12-04 11:21
For the last few days Seabreeze has been forecasting considerably lighter winds today than BOM (Bureau Of Meteorology) has.
I emailed Seabreeze to find out why and they reckon they don't source their info from BOM, although they wouldn't say where they did get it.
I thought BOM was the official source of all the weather info.
I was wondering which websites people have found most accurate for forecasting weather and wind off the coast around Perth?

Pretty sure all the raw data
Pretty sure all the raw data comes from BOM and there are worldwide agreements for data sharing such as NOAA.
i prefer good old BOM myself, theres much less BS. Showing wind changes etc to the minute brings an expectation that it will happen as per-some take it too literally.
being a windsurfer and mariner Ive seen plenty of times where its been very wrong.

I average Willy Weather and Seabreeze. But most of the time Seabreeze has been fairly accurate. Click on WA forecast for a more detailed report on the left hand side

I like willyweather but it
I like willyweather but it can tend to be a little on the optimistic side with its forecasts.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
