I Have.....
I have hired one a few times for a boys only trip for two nights. We hire the Murray River Queen , through dolphin houseboats. Their mooring is at jetties just opposite and a little up from the pub. Check out their website for boats, layouts, rates etc. They have peak and off peak rates. Im pretty sure they will be on peak rates this time of year , and certainly during long weekends , school holidays etc. Great fun though , we travelled upstream toward pinjarra for an hour or so , found a clean and accessible bit of beach to pull up on and anchor before sunset, drinks and fire on the bank, and caught some nice bream from the shore , right by the boat. Be sure to calculate the time it will take to get back if you are doing a long cruise somewhere ! They will fill you in on some of the best spots to go depending on what you are into. It is nice to head up pinjarra way , far enough so you no longer see any signs of civilisation.
If you head up the other way, have some crab nets and ask them where to catch some without having to travel too far into the estuary. I highly recommend doing it, and when you split the cost between everyone, its not too expensive.

yea ive taken them out for a few days, started in mandurah though you just have to make sure you know where you want to stop for the night because your not aloud do drive at night, getting there early is reccommended because sometimes the best spots fill up fast and you have to be at a designated mooring. but an excelent experience and cheap enough with the right amount of people
