the power of social media
after i took delivery of my new boat just over a week ago i had gripe on this site about the wiring ripping out of the center console when i tilted it down. well i will give credit where credit's due the supplier of the boat fixed the wiring problem pronto. since then i have been able to go over the boat pretty closely and was dissapointed to find weld spatter and weld burn marks on the hull and droplet marks on the transom where some type of chemical has been dripped on it. i dont think i am being fussy but i just thought the standard of finish wasnt good enough, so what I did is I left negative feed back on the manufacturers facebook site. i have now had 3 phone calls from eastern states from them and they are sending a rep to look at the boat tomorrow morning. The power of social media is all powerful but use it carefuly

3 phonecalls and a rep
3 phonecalls and a rep rocking up tomorrow .. sounds like they're doing the righty . No idea what is a typical finish is on a new ally boat but hopefully they will recognise the importance of feedback with good aftersales service .

mate you have the right to
mate you have the right to complain , its not about wether the rig is new or not its workmanship principal. The job should be done properly , and most importantly done properly the first time around. Specially when all it does is cost you money and time on the water. Best of luck

you wouldnt expect a sub
you wouldnt expect a sub standard finish on a brand new car, let alone the same for a new boat.

the boat manufacture,s rep turned up today as they said he would he agreed the were some dramas with the finish and they are going to fix the areas of concern the negative feed back I left on their facebook page certainly worked they went into damage control straight away so I have to say in fairness them at least they are monitoring their facebook page and take criticism seriously
