i watched some young fellas
i watched some young fellas on thursday and they go zip.but that doesn't mean you cant get them.good quality jigs in the 2.5 to 3.0 tossed far on the right tide
should get you some.having a dead bait floating around the area will also improve you chances.

Sure will
Weed mixed with sand patches = squid. There a mobs of squid to be had off the jetty and beaches at Long Point. Good luck.

Well went down to port
Well went down to port kennedy for 2 hours chasing the illusive squid... Tried pink, orange, green, blue and hundreds of cast without hitting one squid. May have to wait to get the boat from the shop and try out further... Any suggestions?

Boat squiding
If you put the boat in then it's much the same, just drift around the patches.
I kayak to the weed line off the beach and there is plenty there as well. Problem in boats is keeping jig in the zone, so anchor or dropper rig with jig attached.
Good luck, some times the squid don't play ball.

I can remember back when they had the huts and white pointers on the nude beach.
Must have changed a lot since those days.
Was always a great little spot to get away even just for a weekend.
