Ningaloo St Report
Arrived at Ningaloo station last Saturday arrived back home on Thursday.
The weather gods flexed there muscle. Only fished for 2 days.
Big research team at Black Rock studying Whale sharks, they counted 25 individuals on the first day. They are convinced the GWhites came close to shore
because of the high water temps and increase in whales travelling our coast. In the last 12 months they estimate a total of 300 plus carcasses floating around in our waters.
We have Killer whales making our homes permanent now due to the whales as well.
Great place to stay, have to travel a few miles on the ocean to get clear of the biggest marine sanctuary on the ningaloo reef.
You start fishing about 7nm straight out from shore in the 65m plus and beyond, thats if you can pick a safe passage through the reef.
Reds were good, chewing threw 150lb leader, lost some beauties, no sharks to contend with.
Firts 10 mins of trolling a Saily climbs on board. A couple of million Bonito going to town on a whitebait buffet, huge schools.
Tomatoe Cod, tomatoe cod plus more, spanglies, only a few mackeral and barracuda.
Anyway left the boat in Gero, as we are heading to Warroora St in 3 weeks. Stage 2 of the Northern fshing fun.
Lovin Life is what you do with it.
