For sure
The little 12fter will be heading out this arvo.
Work will be getting told I have to leave early. They won't be getting told why though
. Luckily I have to start early on Wednesday so the extra hour or so will be taken off my day today. Should be on the water by 1:30 with any luck.
Going out of Hillarys but limited to how far I can go out with no Epirb and radio etc. Hope to do a bit of squidding and head out a bit further after that.

no luck again
We got on the water by 6am and after a few engine problems we got to the southern lump in the sound just after sun up. started off promising with the first cast hooking up to my first cockburn sound pinky, unfortunately it was only a pup. after an hour of nothing but a wrasse and a goat fish we pulled anchor and headed over to the gravel patch where there were 7 or 8 boats plus a ski. after 40min o twiddling thumbs and seeing no other action on any other boat i started to think of where to next. so we went for a tonk over to the hot water outlet to find nothing on the sounder and went back out to the d9. sat there for an hour with not so much as a nibble. by this stage my cousin was thinking he might have more fun at work, definitely got his priorities wrong. we went for a cruise past the rocks at AMC and POW there was a nice big school on the sounder. but with everyone packed up we cut our losses and continued in. so that was the day in the sound. Im kicking myself for not dropping that last line near the rocks as i dont think there will be another chance till my next rnr.
