HAHA brilliant PeterMac, what did you go in there to buy a couple of lures??- i was dark on having to spend $130 on some braid, almost walked out with a saragosa and jigging rod though, had to pull myself out of there.
The Mrs thinks im bad - cant wait to show her this, the more i look the more i think farrk meeeeeee.
How long did you spend at the shop?........takes me ages before I buy a new reel or rod. Would have taken me at least 3 days to decide with those toys you bought:)
just buy your missus a new handbag, should keep her happy for a couple of days while you play with your new stuff.
3 combo's the same? so no one on the boat is jealous? haha
looks like some quality gear right there.
I think the pre-made rigs are good when you can't be bothered, or when you're trying to learn to make rigs up yourself. it's easy just to look and learn.
That's gonna cost you some gold .. I'd be stashing that knife somewhere , just in case as it looks fairly serious .. Here's my line you can borrow " It's a investment and the dividends of fish will soon exceed the initial outlay many times over " sort of puts the pressure on though lol .
My missus was bitching at me about spending $700 yesterday, she stopped when she saw this & saw that you didn't tell your other half. I got a firm message that if I ever did this I'd wake up less of a man than when I went to sleep. No buying a new swibo if I do have a splurge.
to be honest they were glad to see the back of me the ungrateful sods they had to scan every thing 3 times after their comp system crashed twice as it couldn't cope with that many items in 1 sale
My little 5000 is spooled up with coloured braid and is looks shit hot just like yours Dant, great reel as well. My so called mate has a different name for it but it is rather derrogatory. Nice work Petermac, should keep your shopping down for a month or 2. Heard a good motto when shopping that relates to you ( the more you buy the more you save ) i hope they gave you discount. LOL
Some nice toys there mate, every boy has to have his toys. I think I have personally caused quite a few divorces, had a bloke the other day wanting to buy something that costs $10 by the time I had finished talking to him he walked out of the store with $250 worth of tackle, he said to me that his wife was going to kill him :P Many times blokes have told me that they will have to "sneak it into the shed before she finds out." LoLz. That being said, I am my own best customer, I keep giving my spare money back to the shop. You can never have enough rods never have enough lures never enough tackle.
