1 km past the end of the jetty Bundy
Bundy
If your confident in the conditions with your dinghy and motor go about 1 km past the end of the Busso Jetty (14 metres depth there) - that distance will put you out in a 16- 17 metre depth - you'll be fishing blind with no sounder though. Get some cheap placcy berley pots - one off each corner of your dinghy - fill with a mix of chook pellets soaked in water and fish oil. Drop anchor - berley pots off each back corner. Fish to rods 6kg floater - cast a mulie out into this berley trail - with a small bean sinkersliding all the way down to hooks on a 40 lb trace. You'll have to guess the depth - cast about 5 feet short of the depth your fishing so if the mulie sinks to a vertical position its still off the bottom. As lighter sinker as you can to keep the bait looking as natural as possible in the current. This is a deadly Snapper option and awesome fun - fish about up to 10kg currently.
Second rig 8 kilo line with a 2 hook 4/0 baitkeeper hook, 40lb paternost rig, snapper lead on the bottom. Chunks of mulie or squid for bait- great for skippy. XOS KGW, Snapper and the odd Dhuie not to mention Sambos. Sit back and wait - you may get lucky here with some Kidney Slapper King George.
Don't forget to tell us how you went - right?

You'll need to join a massive queue - Head to the Busso Jetty
Sorry Goreetie - I owe a whole lot of people trips out that I've promised for the last 18months to 2 years. Currently my boat is in Perth being fitted with a new motor, steering and fuel tank being fitted- not gonna see it for 2-3 weeks. If your keen for Snapper head ot to the Busselton Jetty - bout 3/4 the way out - there has been some excellent snapper caught this year from the jetty - same principles just heavier lines - you may even pick up a big Mulloway out there. Take a small baitchaser rod out to chase yellowtail with - use these for live bait on 80+lb line with a 6/0 hook pin just below the dorsal fin. Lethal bait for big fish out the jetty including Sampson fish, John Dory, Salmon, Bonito (in season) Mulloway and Snapper!

No worries Bundy
This time of the year it's a matter of being able to get out - if you strike the weather ok you should do ok. Be mindful of the info of the guy fishing off Dusboro who had 2 inquisitive GWS 's at his boat at the same time. Judging from your user pic you've tangled with the Pink Boys before. Weather's looking passable - though Seabreeze is not always that accurate.

busso to weedy
hey all,
thanks for all the advice for fishing busso, unfortunatly i was unable to capture any fish!
went out from jetty around the area which was advised but found it hard fishing blind, seemed to be so weedy everywhere we tried,
stayed out for around 6 hours with only 1 squid to bring in, although the hood messured at 32cm thats all we managed!
thanks again
