I fished the e-shed on
I fished the e-shed on thursday night. First time for me as I'm normally a boat angler. Never again, didn't catch a mulla (but that's life). Just the amount of people. I got there nice and early (4pm) to get a good spot with a couple mates. Then you get people setting up literally right next to you, got tangled up 3 or 4 times with other people (never with my own mates). People getting down there late and expecting to be able to fish on top of others that have gotten down there early. If all the spots are taken, go fish somewhere else if you weren't able to get there in time. Fishing is meant to be relaxing, I hated it. I'll stick to waving at people fishing at the sheds as I drive my boat out of the harbour.
On the plus side, plenty of bait fish around. Jigged up a heap of scalies and a few yakkas. Were also some fish that I couldn't identify, looked like miniature flying fish? Also had chopper tailor on the bite all night from about 6pm until we left at 2am. Crushed the barbs on a small set of gangs and used pilchard strips as bait. Some of them were really small <15cm.
Even though I have a boat, I still want to nab myself a landbased river mulloway. I have other less well known spots to try for now on. E-shed stinks.
PS - put your damn rubbish in the bin.

After reading this, I wont be
After reading this, I wont be heading anywhere near the Eshed this weekend so.
I have only ever been land based, and I normally fish from the Rock wall in Mindarie, nice quiet not crowded (most of the time) and have been getting Itchy feet to try the "famous" Eshed, to see if I could get my first decent sized Mulla, or a chance of hooking into some tailor for fun. As midarie has been fairly quiet as of last few trips.
After reading the above post, it just sends shivers down my spine.. I was hoping to try another area,
Is there anywhere south of the river that anyone would be able to recommend for a change of scenary and that is good for landbased fun. Not looking for secret spots or anything. (99.9% of time I am catch and release) so no fear of me taking home all the fish.. :)
I hear the North mole is fishing alright at this time, but I am afraid of the same situation that is at E-shed, people on top of people, not enjoying the whole situation with tangle heaven.
Look forward to a few suggestions.
Cheers
Muc

Never caught an Eshed
Never caught an Eshed mulloway, but they'd have to be there with the insane amount of scalies and slimes there. Whenever I need to catch some bait, I do it during the day when there is hardly anyone around. As mentioned, at night there are just too many people and its not fun.
Good luck and make sure to post a pic if you get lucky!

Yeah the biggest problem in
Yeah the biggest problem in places like this is the overcrowding, because its so easy to access. I hear u boys on the people trying to sqeeze themselves into tight fishing spots and getting tangled. Ive had countless ocassions when my dad and myself go down a bit early to rock wall and try and distance ourselves from others, then u find those people who stick right up to u, cast across every time, tangle with u and then get angry at u, its so annoying. Especially when they fish with 6 hooks on the line its sucha pain.

mosman bay jetty is a good
mosman bay jetty is a good place there is mulla done there and the tailor, bream, flatties and lot's of yellowtail, usually not many people. But with e shed i have been down there and i go early and just spread my gear all over my area that i need and just block the other people out. It usually works and and i usually go on windy nights it usually put's of the other people of.
Be patient and calm - for no one can catch fish in anger
