can anyone give me some advice about the D9 (I am from up north but now live in Rocky) I went there on Saturday there where heaps of dingys there but no body was catching any thing I sounded around for a bit and found a great lump that was holding fish but headed closer to the other boats thinking they would know the area better than me , is the D9 just a lump that I might have gone over is it hard to find? and is it just a night fishing proposition

D9 is the wreck of a dredge
Is deteriorating rapidly, used to be a great dive with huge holes but a lot of it has collapsed - still holds fish but a better night fishing op than in daytime

sounds like you found it
plenty of fun to be had there anytime with light gear. Some other outcrops around too if you look... And a shiny Sarca anchor just to the south west of the lump.... hand of God incident and all that.
Rods: a few
Reels: a few too
Personal best: eaten and forgotten
Location: North Mandurah

Also a well deteriorated mast and sail
Most of the "lumps" are spoil grounds from dredging the channel - splashback if you have a gps location it weould not be that hard to find diving and running a square pattern - max depth in that area is only 14 metres unless actually in the channel (20 metres) sure one of the regular divers here would assist for a carton and I could even lend then an underwater scooter to greatly speed the search
