22.5 Black Bart Dinner
Submitted by Knot Big Enuff on Tue, 2013-02-12 11:13
Hey ...
Just thought I may throw this question out, may be someone out there has the same ..
I have a 22.5" Black Bart Dinner skirt (1998 design); it's mainly designed for Wahoo (high Speed), however, years ago, People recorded Billies being caught on them too.
Anyone out there has got one? I'm only asking as I enquired to Bart regarding the way they swim; they jump & dart like no other skirt in the spread! If so, any sucess on them, being Marlin, Wahoo or even Tuna?
Thanks for the help
Rick

Thats the plan anyways Ricky... so looking forward to those couple of weekends ;)
Was just wondering anyone out there who caught something on this ugly monster of a lure.

That's a big lure
Hope you have a 37 / 60kg outfit to tow it with at speed as I'd be surprised if a 24kg outfit will manage it.

Same
Was thinking the same Alan.
It is a bullet type shape so maybe 37 but looks like a 60 outfit lure really.
You could always use it to bash the fish on the head once they are in the boat Hesh :)

Some cool comments there ;)
I trolled it on 24 couple of times, and it was ok, being high speed pointy face, didn't take much drag. I also got a note from BB, recomending it on 24, but you're right there, 37 would be the optimum. I've rerigged it with 400lb, as oppose to the 600, which again, helped trolling it with 24 wo causing extra pressure on the main line.
Cheers for the thoughts all

The BTS website
classifies it as a minimum 37kg lure, but if you can get it to work well on 24kg, then all good.
