What a stink
Submitted by catchalittle on Sun, 2012-10-21 14:25
Went up to the shed and smelt something rotten when inside and the bait freezer (industrial size) had carked it sometime in the last few days and man what a stink all the bait was off and a grey red soupy mess at the bottom took me a hour to unload it then dispose of it in a hole and three showers later and I still smell whiffy. We did have power outages on Thursday?Friday such a waste of sooooooooo much bait

Nothing worse mate. I had
Nothing worse mate. I had wrasse stored in the little freezer/fridge at our van a few years back and when we left that weekend my young fella thought he was doing the right thing by turning the fridge off.Three weeks later and the stench when I opened the door is unforgettable. The fish had basically turned to goo. I had piss stored in the fridge as well and had to throw it all out as the smell had permiated into the caps. I feel for ya mate.

I'm an esky king
There have been a number of occasions when I have forgotten to clean out the esky. It generally takes a trip to the tip and then a trip to the camper shop for a new esky. Missus gives me shit over it!

We did a few bait freezers
We did a few bait freezers here a couple months ago. It was simple - One gets the bait out of the freezer and hands it to the bin man and the middle man tallys what was going in the bin. Somewhere along the line it got confused and the tally man was piling up bait in a trolley. Come in on the tuesday from the long weekend and there was $500+ worth of bait in a trolley. Unfortunately when cleaning, some was knocked under one of the storage units out the back and we couldn't find it for over a week. We would all gag when heading out the back and james has no sense of smell, so he couldnt find it anyway.

Perfect reason to start
Perfect reason to start fishin artificial baits now
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

If the freezer nmotor has fused
As in burnt out windings then it should be a home insurance claim and there may well be coverage for the bait up to $500 but you would need to look at your particular policy as some say "food" and some say frozen goods which has a broader meaning
