may be ok in a flat bottom punt but would have to be a glass day and good luck getting back in there once the breeze picks up and then parking becomes a issue too

would liketo know the history behind this ramp i spent lots of time there as a kid catching piltch ,bluering occkies didnt know what they were then hahaha

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Saw a couple of old timers

Saw a couple of old timers launching a 5'ish metre tinny runabout there once, in way less than ideal conditions - obviously been doing it for ages, reckon they were long time surf lifesaving club members - read the waves and navigated out spot on - was great to watch.

A couple of times

I have launched my 3.8m tinnie there a couple of times. Really want no swell, high tide. Also we pretty much had to hand launch it which made it a bit of a hassle. Not really worth it if you ask me. Also had to navigate through many swimmers on the way in which is pretty dangerous.

A zodiac out of there tricky as you need to know where the gap is in the reef.. Should build a proper ramp

there to ease the pressure on hillarys! and ramps all the way to lancelin!!
