My fav time of year is between april and june. Cooler and you still get mackies and the snapper come on the bite. Best of both worlds. Just check snapper laws and i havent been to steep for some time.
Yeh that sounds great thanks, did you have much success when you were last there and does it get pretty busy of rocks and hard to get a spot and last thing is there any other spots around that area where you could catch a feed were might not be as busy and dangerous thanks.

Just after school holidays was always pretty good but that was a few years back now. Get to know the camps around you an more often then not when they go in for lunch etc you can get there permission to fish theer spots if you dont have a good one.
I've been in June July and August and had success with all of them for macs snappers cod tailor trevally. I have had the best weather in August we are going up from the 19th to the 30th August this year this is our 5th year in a row. Our worst year was last year was real hard finding fish it was a really big full moon that's all we could put it to once the moon started changing the fish came back on the bite.
Was there at the end of March early April this year... wind blew the warm water out so no Macks, but plenty of Snapper / Trevaley........ saw reports from a week later after the wind swung back around that the macks were back and even a couple of sailfish...
