lure bag/wallet

 hi everyone,

I need a small lure bag or wallet for wading and 99% landbased fishing off rocks and jettys. I need something that is small but can still carry a few lures. Nothing to bulky. So what do u guys recommend? thanks

Maybe bigger than what you

Maybe bigger than what you want, but this is what I use when walking the beaches throwing lures for Tailor. I went through a few of the cheaper bags, they just don't last. This one still looks good and fresh after 2 years.

Inside I keep a small tackle tray containing lures, a pair of pliers and a knife in the holders, and a few premade trace rigs in the front pocket.

I bought this small back pack for my son at the royal show for ten bucks a couple of years back. It ended up being my fishing bag. I wear it in front of me when I'm wading in the shallows. Can access the back pack for pliers n lure change without problems when worn back to front. Hope that's an idea for you.

I would go down to your local Good samaritans shop and have a look for backpacks and some small lunch boxes for your lures, cheap as chips.
Pick them up for a couple of bucks.

I found an old laptop bag does the job, good strap to change the length and zips up well.

A few months ago I bought a cheapy neoprene pencil case from Officeworks. Cut up 20mm and 25mm pvc tubing and used heat gun to flatten and bend so one end is closed. Siliconed the lot to join together and insert into pencil case. While pencil case is empty sew a couple of loops so that you can thread your belt. Voila, compact water resistant lure carrier. Use bigger tubing for bigger lures.

I ordered one of these from Japan, I have both sizes.

The small one fits 1 lure box, plastics, leaders, scissors, my phone and wallet, perfect for wading sand flats etc.

The larger one fits the same as above, but room for an extra lure box and more leader and whatever else you need, perfect for chasing bigger fish off rocks etc.

When you're wading out all you need to do is slide the bag around to your front to gain access to your stuff, no need to take the whole bag off.
