Inside the reef ningaloo

When your fishing inside the reef do you have to go out through tantabiddi passage or do you normally have enough water to stay inside the reef with out going out to sea and come back inside where you fish. I downloaded navionics app for my phone just so could get a bit of an idea of the area and it looks quiet shallow

You can stay inside, just have to watch or bommies at low tides.

Cheers canarvonite, looking forward to giving the stella a work out on some trevs and spango's. The boats a 5m quinnie, is it normally pretty sheltered inside the reef there only fished from the beaches on the west side. Dont remember it being to nasty when the was a bit of a wind up but we would hate to get caught out.

just launch at tanta's and head SW towards the reef - line up with the northern boundary of the Mangrove sanctuary line, and start drifting - Usually the breeze is a southerly, which sets your drift perfectly !
