hellooooooooo their people
the misses is bying me a new rod and reel, im looking for a combo that will be great for jigging and can also be used for deep sea ie dhuies, baldies pinkies etc, money is no issue, i just have to by her somethink thats cost the same or cheaper if i can help it, so my questions is what would be the best reel (egg beater) and rod??? atm im using a penn 310 gti and a topaz rod at 10 to 15 kg lol so it is time to update. thanks for your advice.

Any reason it has to be
Any reason it has to be spin? OH will be better suited to dhuies and the like if bottom bouncing and if you get the right rod and a narrow spooled reel it will work well jigging too.

I just got a new daiwa
I just got a new daiwa saltiga 6500h. An a wilson pe 3/6 jigging rod. I took it to the barges yesterday an stopped a few massive sambos an sharks. When the bans over this is going to be my bottom bouncing/ deep water jigging combo. I also have the z 6000 saltiga on a 80lb fin nor rod. I've used it for the past 2 years an cant fault it. I only got a new one cause I can.
Any one free to help me pull my drum lines tomorrow?

depends on when you say
money no issue!!, if it realyl is no issue then id recommend a stella 8000 swpg and a tcurve 200 spin, with 50lb saltiga braid , ive got that exact combo and it is super versatile and will handle what you want easily, then for the missus i would probably get the same rod with a saragosa 8,000 or strdic fj 8000 to save a bit of coin, but obviously these options arent cheap but you get what you pay for in the end.. cheers

if your dead set on a spin
if your dead set on a spin reel for bottom bouncing and jigging , i just sold a cracking combo
stella 8k on a jigging master 250g rod running pe4. (i sold it for an overhead setup)
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

I'm running pe 5 varivas
I'm running pe 5 varivas avani gt. I got the full 600m spool on. It was a bit full but a few sambos in 200m sorted it out nice. Around $1150 for the reel, $450 for the rod $200 for line. You might get it cheaper all together from the one place. Comes down to how much you want to spend on the ring
