Cray Pot Winch

Hi All

never to early to get ready for the silly season (cray season) early starts and boat ramp rage .

I am looking to upgrade the 75 year old pot winch,

After spending last year at the physio and the total cost to repair a bad back looking at a couple of options

StressFree Hauler out of SA they have 2 versions

WA version larger motor 1400W to pull the pro size pots

the rest of Australia 600w version for lighter pots used east coast

Hippo Hauler WA

2 stroke motor

Has anybody had any experience with any of these

cheers

just a word from experiance, i brought a winch a couple of years back for the same reason unfortunatly i brought a winch for sails not a dedicated winch for lifting pots, now the winch that i have will pull up the centre of the earth however it is quite slow and when you put your pots in some places you want to get them up ASAP and get out of there.

if you get a winch that has been built expressly for lifting pots you should be ok stay away from the sail winchs in my oppinion

 Hi mate,

I put a maxwell anchormax on last season and I pulled them all year from water in excess of 25m and it did it fine. This was 4 pots, 2 cane pots with steel bottoms and 2 slat pots.

Cheers,

Rick
