No you're not reading wrong I did say camels!
I'd really like to get a post out there to anyone that fishes at Clayton's Beach Mindarie.
The local council are looking to let a camel tourism operation on the beach, accessing via a road called Long Beach Promenade. This is likely to cause traffic and parking issues where the people that fish normally park. The camels will be on the beach Mon, Thurs, Fri & Sat 7am to 7pm and Sunday 9am-6am therefore not much peace or escape from them or an influx of tourists....The info on the City of Wanneroo website written by the camel operators hasn't properly covered all concerns, such as tourist waste*, traffic and camel excrement* to name only a few (*We just don't have faith that this will all be picked up and could make Clayton's Beach less pristine than it is today). Even worse an old car park down the beach track from Long Beach Prom may be re-opened - this was shut down in the past due to hoons/anti-social behaviour - if we allow this to re-open we're inviting trouble back down on Clayton's Beach and you only have to look at what happened near to the Alexandria View car park a few weeks ago to know this - I wouldn't leave my car or gear there! Anyway public comment closes 8th Jan. I'd encourage members that use the beach to object to the City of Wanneroo by e-mailing: enquiries@wanneroo.wa.gov.au or using the 'contact us' link on www.wanneroo.wa.gov.au quoting P22/2371V01.
The City has only written to a handful of residents and I quote 'If a submission is not received, it will be assumed you have no objection to the proposal'
If people don't speak up this will turn into reality very quickly! Your voice counts!

Are you serous. I've lived
Are you serous. I've lived in Mindarie since 1993 and the amount of waste from fisherman that i've seen you'd need a f--king big pile of cammel poo to even get close. What about the fires that fisherman start and then leave on the beaches? Youre right this is a prestine section of coast and i love walking along there. But i will say why should i have it all to myself.
As for the lower car park, well why wouldn't they open it up....We can't be driven out by hoons and pesky kids..As for trouble, its allready there incase you hadn't noticed.
Thanks for the heads up, i'll be sure to send in my submission..

Camels
Camels will be good for tourists coming to the area. Camels in broome have poop bags under there aholes, so know probs there. Id rather have camels on the beach than dogs on a beach, just have to go to the dog beach near pinaroo, to see what a cess pit it is.
