back of 3 mile
ok so i'll come clean and admit to being confused..
which side is the "back" ocean side or land side (if you get what I mean)
I've often heard people refer to the back of (place) but haven't asked..
sorry if it's a silly question.. but i'm new to boating (and fishing).
Cheers

ocean side
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

You anchor up or do some trollin uncle? Try after the weekend??? With the weather forecast, one must assume you dont like busy boat ramps and dont have to work??????

Trolled 3 mile today.
Put about 4 hours in for no result. Trolled skirts and bibs, mainly skirts.
Found some birds working, and a school of tuna, couldn't get a hook up for the life of me.
Tried a few spots that I have regularly getting kingys out of for the last couple months for bugger all also.
Not my day.

I shared your experience
I shared your experience Noxious - but further north. Plenty of bait, plenty of jumping fish - no hookups!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Callum, yep was a bad week in general in the Almanac. Can usually get something with scales to hit the deck of the boat though.
Back to work, and wishing the week away until the weekend. Hopefully get some more nice weather this coming weekend.
