Hillarys Fishing Yesterday

Hillarys Fishing Yesterday

Hey people,

went for a quick session yesterday at hillarys for about an hour, fished north wall targeting buffies and luderick.

I ended up after the 1 hour with 2 buffies and 1 Luderick. The Luderick was a fair size so gave it to my grandparents, kept the 2 buffies for bait/berley...

i was also teaching my 5 year old cousin how to fish and he caught his first ever fish not a blowie but a baby luderick! he had a big smile.

Unfortunately only 1 photo as the rest were blurry.

Cheers,

Eric

I don't have a lot of experience with Luderick, however I am sure that a weed type bait, and some worms may be the go because they are not meat eaters from what I know, I'm sure someone on here will fill you in a bot more with the bait side of things, that's what this site is all about - I'm sure Diehard had had plenty of his questions answered in the past and got plenty of help - Disregard his bait is secret ;) comment, Not very helpful at all.

Zebra fish

Fri, 2010-07-09 16:55

Just had a quick look through the Sea Fishes of Southern Australia book and a look on the web, I agree it's a Zebra fish, juveniles are generally darker in appearance, part of the Luderick family though.
