Lure fish through the day and use bread at night, squeezed into a dough around a 1/0 or so, try it you'll be surprised.

Be well worth going for a walk early morning and late arvo. May be try near the dam wall during the day. I normally set out a bait on a running sinker and one under a float. Hopefully some of this resent rain has topped the lake up a bit.Never know ya luck may get into a few fredfin as well. Not much camping area near the wall. Enjoy not a bad spot to kick back and rip the scab off a few.

Worms worms worms! Trout love

Worms worms worms! Trout love worms, small hook and nip two through the middle. running sinker or a float depending on the bottom.

Maggots will also take them and i often had success throwing some maggots in as berley and then presenting them with a big juicy earthworm or two - bang!

good luck!

Good old worms will do the trick for you. Wogs are good if you already have em. Live freshwater shrimp are hands down the best freshwater bait for any species anywhere. Crickets & grasshoppers work well to, especially late arvo or early morning. A #16 hook through the wings & presented with no weight so that your offering will float on the surface. Be wary of transporting livies, you don't want to accidentally introduce a new species. Best to catch them from the water you will be fishing. A couple of kids with butterfly nets will keep you in livies for a weekend & also help keep them out of your hair.

Bloody nice spot! Camped on

Bloody nice spot! Camped on the waters edge, ranger was pretty cool, got a few lil rainbows, my first, using a few meal worms (food for my bearded dragon). Plenty of marron gettin around at night. Pretty entertaining weekend, had a few water bomber planes circling a small fire, some yobs shootin a spud gun and trashing their lancer, got it stuck once, some other yobs gettin bogged in the mud, 3 at once lol, and some other yobs draggin massive stumps to their campsite for a big fire....oh wait that was us haha. Went for a treck the long way round crossin the water etc when we left today, will be returning for sure, with the turquoise water and orange banks, you could easily have been in the Kimberlys, water level was bloody low tho
