Tin Can Teaser

Im looking for a bit of help making a tin can teaser. Is it as easy as just getting a few red bull cans and stringing them together, or put a knot inbetween them and space them out a bit more so they push a bit more water. Just wondering if any one has experimented and had success with them as a teaser or are they a wast of time. I cant find any photo's on any forums to help.

Used them for years in Exxy chasing billfish, then added a mullet teaser to the end for realism, pushed a lot of water and made some unusual sounds.  Not sure if it helped or not, but got heaps of marlin up in my tinny so.... :)

Using them for billfish Dodgy, Ive got cd,s and they're good but there a pain in arse when they get tangled. I just thought as a teaser they mght be easier to handle and they would push water like a plug style lure, just something different.

I think the first big part of billfishing is attracting them to the boat then the hooked lures or baits do the rest, so I'll try any different style of teaser, especialy if you can make it yourself. If someone can think of anything different I'm all ear's.

Hay Adam did you just string them together? how'd you make it?

Depending on the species of marlin I have found that a daisy chain of export cans brings them in for miles.

String them around 1-2 feet

String them around 1-2 feet apart, either using knots or crimps  May help to use a washer or something similar to stop the hole opening up.

Celine Dion CD's do work but it takes the fun out as the fish just float to the surface dead.....
