Tailor Between Trigg and Hillaries??
Submitted by surfer on Thu, 2012-11-15 16:08
G'day everyone,
I'm a bit of a novice at tailor fishing.....considering people talk about catching them in reefy areas next to shore i was wondering if I was to throw some lures around the reefy areas between trigg and hillaries would i be in with a chance. Or would i have a better chance heading further North to Ocean Reef or Mindarie.
Thanks for any advice.

Absolutely your in with a chance along the trigg reefs. Beaches are ok if you don't mind a smaller class of fish but the bigger ones are in tight to the reefs.

The beach north of Hillarys
The beach north of Hillarys has been producing, a friend of mine was bagin out on 45 to 50cm speciments on sundown in no time, Im yet to troll that stretch in the boat coz I havent had trouble getn them at my usuall spot, but when the easterlies get strong I will. It looked to be weed free last weekend
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.
