North Mole, South Mole, Freo Fishing Boat Harbour, Woodman Point Ammo Jetty + Groyne, Palm Beach Jetty etc.
Basically anywhere that has lights at night will usually produce some squid. During the early morning/ day the best spots are usually shallowish (2-4m) weedbanks, such as at Woodman point groyne.
Last year when i was coming down to Perth for TAFE i found the squid at the ammo jetty to be pretty small (was winter time tho), woodmans point had ok size but south mole was the pick of the bunch with some good size (biggest hood 30cm), good luck with the squidding, wish i could get into some, love my squid
ok tried ammo jetty a couple of times no luck then tried south mole a couple of times with no luck as of yet spent heaps on new jigs to maybe there just not around at the moment
Harbour side into the channel off south mole i have found the best as they are starting to show up in the river. Cast toward the big sqaure concrete bollard near the jetty.Either early morning or have found it better sunset and into the night . Work the jigs real hard rip rip pause and so on.
