South Mole Squid?

Hi guys, I'm planning on heading out onto the moles (probably south, but maybe north too) for some squid sometime in the next week or so.

I've never gone squidding there before (always went to cockburn) so im not sure whats it's going to be like. any pointers you could give me would be great :)

was a bit slow for me on monday afternoon/evening, only ended up with a few small ones. Both sides of the south mole are good, as there are weed beds and heaps of structure. I personally got all my squid on the river side, about half way up, but previously I have gotten some big specimens off the boat harbour side. definitely use 3.5 size, aim for about 20g. Means you get about 3-3.5 seconds per metre sink rate. It's quite deep on the river side, so dont be afraid to keep free spooling!

 Thanks Leemo.
I went there this afternoon for a few hours (left after sunset). Managed to get one in the first 10 minutes, then got nothing for the rest of the afternoon/evening . Still, the wind was down and the skys were clear, so it was a pleasant time.
