Snapper?

This is probably a little bit different to most snapper discussions, but a couple days ago the mrs and I went to AQWA for a look on a lazy day off. When we went through the underwater walk through aquarium section, I saw a few fish that looked similar to pink snapper, but they were a dark red colour instead of pink and the pronounced snout bump was more like a small horn rather than a large round bump (excuse the lack of correct terminology). Is this some sort of subspecies as I've never seen a fish like it. I can't find anything via google search so I've got no pic. Can anyone shed any light on what they are?

Just snapper. Gets lots of
Just snapper. Gets lots of variation in colour and bumps depending on diet and the environment they live in.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Did you
ask any of the staff at AQUA? Surely they could've given you an ID?

Pink Snapper!
Its genetics that your seeing ie bump on nose or bump on head etc ..... as for colouration in the fish that's normally due to habitat!
