cheers John. not so little tho. on the water at 5;30 hunting around for new ground and the fish didnt fire till around 11;30 . covered around 50nm for the day but we got the rewards in the end

Bloody good day Russ
Your day out was better than mine, brother and I fished between 60 - 75 metre mark out of the Cut for two Breaksea and a small Hammer and two under size snapper, was a great day to be out there but with the old saying "wind from the west fishing best, wind from the east fishing least" all I can say is thank you to God it weasn't blowing from the east.

we fished from the 30,s to the 40, from the cut.
at least you got a feed. the hammers are great eating and certainly wouldnt complain about the blackass

Fished between 26 - 28 nm on some ground that we've done well on before, haven't been out there for a long time so thought we might get a decent Dhu or two but only got the BA and small snapper, picked up the hammer in about 40 metres on the way back in, neverr tried that before but oldest son will chew on shark any day and the blackass is as good as any and darn site better when it's all you've got.

give the hammer a go . we have had it many times and would have it again anyday. great fresh but even better after frozen then thawed.
there is a lot of good ground out that way from what the charts say, we will be out there again . only fished out from the cut twice now .
