I'd go
for a Daiwa Emcast Sport 4500. Long cast spool, light, more than enough drag. Great reels for the $

Either the emcast or the emblem pro
I got the emblem pro casts a country mile...quick retrieve with huge spool diameter I think it holds close to 300m of 10kg mono...around $100 more than the emcast though at $239 with spare spool

I have a saltist 4500 on my 10' daiwa sensor surf, great reel and balanced right, would be ok also for the 12' - high retrieve rate for lures and drag of up to 15kg is winner :)
Got mine landed from US for under $200

I also have the Heartland 12ft
I also have the Heartland 12ft, 2-4oz cast weight.
I was looking at a Daiwa Emcast. Cant afford the Windcast or Emblem Pro (well... I have other "priorities"... aka wife & kids).
Crugs, what reel do you have on your 13ft Sensor Surf. I think that rod will be my next purchase. Need something heavier than the Heartland.

Yeh the emcasts looking good
Yeh the emcasts looking good atm but am i stupid to think i get reel for both light beach and light jigging? And pembo ive got a saragosa 14k on my sensor and its a beast of a combo, yet to land something decent on it but ive had a few good runs on it tho

light beach reel
for a good value "tough" light beach reel the penn slammer is worth considering i've got 2 of them and they havent missed a beat for over 2 years, they are much cheaper than any of my boat reels but they keep performing like new every time i take them out. cheers

be careful
Be careful about stuff on ebay. Especially Daiwa.
there are a lot of overseas models that have the same name as the Aussie models, but the specs are often much lower (hence the ridiculously low prices). They are genuine products, but jsut not the same models are here. They will often have a different letter after the name. Just check all the specs to see if it is the same eg, number of ball bearings, weight, amount of line on spool, spare spool etc.

Would take the battle 4000
Would take the battle 4000 over that emcast anyday, if your going ebay might as well get the better models then lower models just wont get the warranty, but hey sometimes you can buy 2 reels for the price you get here locally.
