Hi all planning trip next week to jurien, ive not been there before im taking my 16' quinny with us, is the weather up there more suited to a larger boat. how far out do you really have to go out to catch pinkies or dhuies?dont need gps locations, any feedback would be appreciated.

I was up there in my 16
I was up there in my 16 footer a few weeks ago and it was great!
Weather was good so we were able to get out and bottom bounce and do some trolling.
You don't have to go far for the snapper either.. I've gotten good snapper and sambos in less than 20m of water

I would be watching the swell
I would be watching the swell with this weather coming in. Plenty of squid in the bay if the swell is up

I'm there for Easter
I'm up there over Easter as I was last year. Some really good fish can be caught in close at the back of the islands. Also go for a troll behind the islands for Mack's I will be at some stage. Water temp looks too still be around 24ish so that's perfect. Baldies are prolific up there this time of year.
