Jettys + Not so nice weather?

Hey guys was just having a think would it be any good chucking out a bait from jettys in this weather or would hitting the stones be a better option to get a bit of a fish fix in?  I have a 10ft-ish rod albeit missing the last guide, after any sort of fish be it a ray or something that would be worth fighting/keeping.  I am locked to south of the river if that helps, not asking for spots just curious if it would be worth soaking a bait off a jetty in this weather, the closest rock wall to me would be the asi if that helps, I have caught juvie snapper from there in the past when having a flick for fun but after something with a bit more go to it.

Cheers in advance

alright cheers, what would be the best rig for off the asi?  I was thinking just a paternoster with a squid or similar on with the sinker coming off the bottom.  Am I on the right sort of track?

Booze - head down to Ammo

Booze - head down to Ammo Jetty, take some silver fly lure rigs and catch live scalies from under the jetty - use aniseed burley to school them up. I promise you will catch heaps. Use these as live bait with a padernoster rig with 5/0 - 7/0 gamagatsu snelled hooks. You will have a good chance of pinkies, mulloway and rays.

Good luck

try the palm beach jetty ( big pinkys have been caught there lately) its well illuminated ,friendly fishos and you can see your car from the jetty
