If you want long casts it's hard to go past metals. 10-20g Twistys are my favourite metal. No need for long casts all the time though so your first option should probably be a minnow style lure.

You can catch Tailor from Burswood down off most of the jetties so long as you get your timing right. Como Jetty, Claremont Jetty, Point Walter Jetty & Bicton Baths would be my favourite jettys to score Tailor from. Casting directly under the lights of the narrows usually produces Tailor but you might have a hard time getting in between the Mulloway chasers.

I've dipped out on Tailor for the last week though & I know there's heaps around so perhaps you shouldn't listen to me

marko, the best spot i can recommend at the moment landbased is the old brewery jetty on mounts bay road, the last couple of weekends we have been doing well trolling about 35-50m off that jetty as there has been big baitschools hanging around there, and as mentioned above, at night casting in the lights under the narrows is good and i agree for casting distance a 20g gold twisty is probably your best bet. good luck .. cheers.

Any jetty narrows down your in for a chance, they are hit and miss but when you do find them its mayhem, chucking them back and dropping them you will move the schools along fast so be mindful of that.
