Hi all. Anyone know if you can run a "C Map " card in a lowrance hds unit or are you stuck with the Navionics cards . Searching around doesn't bring up many answers .
Upgrading very soon and just working out if I need a new card or can steal the one out of my old gps .

Can get a nav card cheap sometimes, I picked up an oz wide gold brand spankas for 150 on here, some units come withem as a promotion
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Lowrance have recently
Lowrance have recently announced that they will soon support c-map as well as navionics. This will be achieved via software update, just like when the first HDS units were shipped originally and we had to wait for a software update to support navionics. This is very new news so I can't say I've seen it done yet!
