Cool camera
The GoPro is arguably the most successful camera ever made...not for the image qauality but its ergonomics and high sales. About to order some for a project I'm working on

The video quality on the
The video quality on the gopro HD2 is pretty good though! Pretty exceptional given the size and toughness of the thing. Most cameras out there cant touch it on video quality (I think maybe the contour and dslrs only?). Though, the images are pretty good when viewed at screensize they could improve their jpeg engine though as theres weird pixel mottling if you blow the images up too big :( The 10-shot super quick burst on the HD2 can still produce some awesome shots if you only want a screen sized pic though.

Size does matter
Many cameras can smoke the Gopro for image quality, the main reasons Gopro has been so successful is it's size, price and being water proof. Cant wait to get a housing for my Canon 5Diii + Tokina 11-16mm to put on the kayak:)

I'll stand to be corrected if
I'll stand to be corrected if you have examples? (Excluding previously mentioned contour or any dslrs/interchangeable lens cameras). This is comparing the HD2 btw.
That 5DIII deserves a FF UWA though
(Yes, I know it works at 15-16mm, but corner sharpness and vignetting not great on FF at that focal). A 8-15 would be awesome for a on-yak capture device though! (although, verrrrry fishy :P)

Mate I wish this was out in my Rally Days. We would
have had 5. In car from behind, in car front on, one low front in the foglight bay, drivers foot view, and one for the codrivers face when calls go wrong. Thinking back about it I am pissing myself laughing.
Best moment for me was when I called a tightening corner right, trees both L and R. Brian the driver went for it, and suddenly the car is tilting towards the outside off the corner. I just shut my mouth and prayed, but the look on my face would have been a tear jerker for laughs. I thought roll into trees for sure. Recovered and got to the end of stage. Asked him about it, and he said I was trying to hit that rock to tilt the car for a quick exit. W**ker I said, you could have warned me. Reply. As a driver I dont speak, only codrivers do. Now we used to swab driving and codriving, so next rally I scared the shit out off him with all sorts of bogus calls. To capture all that I would give millions for if I had it.
Might come out of retirement and load the car with GoPros and do it once more for memory sake.

Just bought one myself last
Just bought one myself last week also. Now though what to get for it as far as accesories? The list is that big.
So any suggestions. So far i think the back pac, handle bar mount for bike, chest harness for skate boarding a few more flat mounts, do i really need the extra battery's and a wall charger?
I will also be using it on my surf board so will probably just use stick on tabs with the floaty door. Any suggestions?
Also it would be great if they had a shoulder mount for surfing. Chest i figure will be a bit low and head unit would look stupid..Is there another option.
Thanks in advance.

Extra batteries and/or the
Extra batteries and/or the battery pack is always useful. Car charger or wall charger is what I need, sick of having to take a laptop or whatever just to charge the bloody things

Got an ipod/iphone?I use that
Got an ipod/iphone?
I use that charger to charge mine instead of the computer, have done so for about 2 years. Just plug the usb part of the cord into the charger.
I have 2 batteries for mine also, lasts me a good 6-7 hours on the kayak?

Also the go pro head strap is handy when on a boat/kayak to capture exactly what you see as you see it
