goodbye to my toy(not fishing...cars)

hi guys

for those who know me, know i love my cars,

but i had to make a choice on keeping my car i built from scratch or buying a new tow car for my tub, well the new tow car won!!

sold my t bucket (to a good mate) and in the proccess of buying a v8 cruiser for a tow car, dont worry its not the end!

i now have a vk commodore i am playing with and have a 510h/p 355 stoker to go in, so i can still cruz when fishen wether is shit.

a pic of my beast in its glory and a video (3.30min) of a cruz me and a couple of mates went on.

video is a bit shaky but my son did his best! (watch for the camera jolt back when i give it a bit out of the roundabout)

sorry to bore you but just having some memorys.

R.I.P to bill in the white VK

cheers ron

p.s. click on the blue ute and the video should play!

You arent the first and you

You arent the first and you wont be the last. Glad to see you still have another project on the boil though. I got out of my car restoration itch a few years ago, some days I miss it but then I turn at look at the DC sitting in my driveway and looking forward to getting out there. Commiserations, though

think it was around the 3.5 mark, without too much fuel onboard should be ok.

purple beast

what's the story on driving that purple beast?  Is it like a vintage car where you can only drive it one sunday a month or are you able to drive it anytime.  Looks awesome btw.

well, its a sad day for me

Wed, 2011-11-02 18:39

well,

its a sad day for me today(2/11/11), my mate just came, handed me a bank cheq a drove away in his new toy now, so thats the end of my hot rod!!

gotta get the new tow car for the tub and spend some $$$$ on the crappydore.

its gunna be hard to see the rod getting around with someone else at the wheel as he only lives 3 streets away.

oh well, life must go on!!!

cheers

ron

Shit mate - that'll be hard.

Will be easier if he looks after it though .

I had a mate sell his XD ESP to a bloke who only lived a few minutes away (in Forry too) - and he saw the dramatic deterioration

..... absolutely trashed it, and it eventually ended up sitting in a paddock !

spewing

Wed, 2011-11-02 19:03

Spewing alright! Used to love cruising down to Freo and back to Scarbs every couple of Sundays.  Only had a 3l VL coz of the cost of insurance, but it was dumped on its arse and had very nice mags, black as tint and custom burgundy paint - sad day when it sold.  Looking to get an 8 one of these days, might offend my missus's sensitive hearing though, LoL.
