20 - 30m five fathom
20 - 30m five fathom nah.
Drive on until South West Bank or the fifty meter contor line.
Mandurah is very much a featurless bottom all the way to the fortys unless you have a good sounder and can pick the limstone change and small coral reefs.
First time go bait until you do find some good ground then plastics/jigs what ever.
There will be bait in the 20 - 30m mark and probably some pelagics but very hit and miss even for the people that live there.

we have had a bit in the 30's, but most of my luck has been out in the 50-60 area, which is a fair trek from mandurah. Once out there we have found a fair bit of reasonable ground and have been doing very well.
In the 30's, i would suggest out from the cut, s/sw there are a few areas with some structure down there, even on the charts it shows a big lump that occassionaly carries some reasonable fish.
in terms of pelagics, last weekend a lot of surface activity, lots of tun jumping around the place but very timid, still got a few though on the way home!
Good luck!
