knocked off work and did the 60km drive home to the farm, stopped at my local butchers grabbed some lamb had a chat with the checkout girl, and spoke of how hot the weather was and that the sky had been rumbling all arvo with no rain locally,
jump in the car and look in the general direction of home and she's black as, make the drive home and sure enough the bush fire volnteers are hard at it back burning and puting out spot fires, good one fellas.
according to my visiting sister it was just a click then a bang followed by smoke, lightning amazing stuff.
anyhow here are some pics, I'm off to noonamah to by some drinks for the boys,

scary stuff
that is the type of event that leaves you with a strong respect for bush fires and how quick things can become uncontrollable very very quickly. It also makes us all appreciate just how much we need our volunteer bush fire brigade services and how much we need to support them, a great pitty the goverment of the day doesn't see that as a priority also

Must be the day for it!!
Must be the day for it!! I was fighting one today that was started by powerlines and a tree. Then the rain came and saved it from from being a disaster with 50km/hr winds - if not I would still be there for a long time yet!!
Burley it and they will come.

Summer
Hopefully not the start to a long bad bush fire season.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.
