Ofmer X-Minnow in any

Ofmer X-Minnow in any colour.

Cast a mile and twitch it with sharp jerks and pauses.

Only problem is the owner trebles may not take it too well on queenies in excess of 1 metres thrashing around....

White Slam or Gulp 7" plastics, absolutely smashed them in Broome. Throw in the Williamson Bucktail jigs as well (in white)

The cheap troll craft poppers

Tue, 2011-08-30 20:14

The cheap troll craft poppers work really well and so does a Halco spoon (I'm sure the toby mentioned above would also smash them - they love that type of rolling metal flash). Also agree on the white bucktail jig mentioned. All favourites as they are cheap and work a treat.

One note on the poppers, they prefer a faster retrieve as opposed to a blooping return like GT's. It doesn't really matter what style of popper as long as you real it in fast.

to get them fired up- any

to get them fired up- any type of popper with a decent rate of retreive... once theyre on the chew, white feather/bucktails etc like the maruobra etc retreived flat out about 50cm under the surface. dont worry about all the other fancy stickbaits and bibbed lures etc for queens, they may work, but arent really needed as this method works every time if they are around
