Charters

Anyone know of any good charters that will actually catch something worth keeping or anyone who willing to run a private fishing trip willing to pay $$$ for a trip worth going on
Cheers

aqualib
only been once a few years back
aqualib , mandurah
even though i wasn't allowed to fish after catching 2 dhuies ( the personnel limit at that time ) as others on the boat hadn't caught a thing (wouldn't let me release the 53cm i caught ) but with the fast drift don't think alot had a qlue and weren't even on the bottom , having a bit more of an idea was constantly giving more line to stay on the bottom and for that difinitive suck

Charters
Blue Juice out of Hillary's did really well last time I was out with them, we bagged out on Dhu's, plus others and they seemed to try to find fish.
My tip is to take your own rod and reel (I always do now)loaded with braid, the nylon on any charter boat is really useless in deep water, you can't feel the bites through the stretch.
Good luck and tight lines.

Go on gut feeling about the
Go on gut feeling about the weight you need to keep it on the bottom as you're drifting
I've been on a charter when the current was flowing and they tried to convince us the weight we're using is fine, but in reality the rig wasn't touching the bottom

Saltwater Charters. Cannot
Saltwater Charters. Cannot fault the service Craigo and Omar put on. Everything supplied, and its always a good day out. Obviously with the ban on in 5 days, its strictly sambo jigging until December.

Had a mate fly over
Had a mate fly over specifically to catch a sambo and sent him out with Saltwater. Decided he didn't want to chase sambos that day. Was quite disappointed to find that out after I recommended him.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

out of sambo season, he can't guarantee what you will chase - if 9/10 punters on board want some snapper, well he is gonna go chase demersals then, isn't he? If he found some sambos between spots, he would have stopped and tried to get your mate onto them.

And that would of been fine
And that would of been fine if he had of got that response while booking over the phone instead of saying that the sambos had been going well and would be targeted.

you can't guarantee anything
you can't guarantee anything in the charter game. You can't say that in exactly 3 weeks and 1 day, the sambos will be going well. in the lead up, they might have gone quiet, hence the switch to demersals. A lot of the spots that craigo fishes, you can pull sambos off aswell - as I said before - if he had have seen them on the sounder in between spots, he would have stopped up so that your mate could have a jig. I've been out a few times with him when the original plan has been sambos, but because they had been quiet, we went and chased other fish.
Thats why its call fishing mate, and not catching.
I continue and reinforce what I originally said. Saltwater is my pick and my definite suggestion in Perth. Would not reccomend anyone else.

If you search these forums
If you search these forums for Whiteys charter out of Jurien you wont find one bad report from anyone.
Was up in Jurien 2 weeks ago and the blokes from the charter came in, they had bagged out in very ordinary conditions.
Well worth the drive.

15 Oct - 15 Dec inclusive for a ban on keeping Demersals, ie Snapper/Dhufish/Cods/Groupers etc
Wives all over the state petitioned fisheries to introduce the bans so their Husbands would spend a few months with them on Weekends ;)
