Submitted by Paul T on Thu, 2013-02-21 15:11
Just a quick post, thinking of heading out on one of the beaches around Mandurah at the weekend, anyone been out there lately ? Or can point me in the best areas to target a shark or ray ?
I intend to put a big bait out whilst fishing lighter gear
any advice will be greatly appreciated
Cheers

4x4 or not, North or South of Mandurah?
There is some beautiful and fishy beaches for sure, I mostly know the ones well towards the south of Tims, but 4x4.

Bugger the sharks or rays
try San Remo, Madora, Singleton, Golden Bay or Secret Harbour for Mulla's.
Shouldn't have any trouble getting Sharks or Rays as bycatch.

nice deep holes along madora
nice deep holes along madora aslong as the wind is playing in your favour try get yourself a live herring, tailor or whiting and you will land either a mulla, shark or ray. i would recommend using light wire just incase a shark does take the bait
Good things come to those who bait
