Hiyas,
bit of a slow weekend for me shooting; lots of baldy around, and some little dhufish, the occasional flighty school of little macks. Then this turned up and changed all that ;)
Ta to the WAUC for a fun weekend ;)
This one went 17.170kg on digital scales gilled and gutted.

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Solid fish in the gun. NYE BBQ taken care of right there.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.

Ta for the comments guys,
Ta for the comments guys, Adrian took the pic, not sure he is a FW poster.
The fish was shot near Jurien.
I was just saying to Graham that I was on my way back to the boat when I put my head back in the water and saw this. Bit worried about shooting off the top, so let out a lungful and did the smoothest duck dive I could muster to get a shot in. I knew I'd only get one shot, the fish only wait around that long and Graham was behind me, waiting to get a shot in as well. Turned to Graham after getting the shot in with a yeehaa and swam off after the float.
Maybe just my lucky day but it swam back towards the boat, stayed up top and Graham assured me it didn't need a second shot. Also probably lucky I didn't see the shark that turned up when I was in the water gutting it.
I'll probably cook some today, the head was split and frozen for two curries sometime down the track.
